Citizen's Police Academy
The Citizen's Police Academy is an eight week program designed to provide the citizens of Hackensack an understanding of the training, education and experiences of the law enforcement community.

When? Time?
October 2, 2008 to November 20, 2008 6:30pm to 9:30pm, once a week, every Thursday.

What is the course curriculum?
The classroom subjects will consist of, Diversion Thefts, Homeland Security, Gang Awareness, Forensic Investigation, Internet Safety, Juvenile Laws, Liability Laws, Motor Vehicle Stops and Personal Safety. The course will also include a trip to the Bergen County Police Academy in Mahwah, NJ.

Who teaches the courses?
The instructors are officers and personnel from the Hackensack Police Department and various Law Enforcement agencies who devote their time convey their extensive knowledge & experiences.
