11/8/2012 - Health Dept: Free Rabies Clinic 2012 (Rescheduled)

Rabies continues to be present in wildlife animals throughout much of the state and a rabid raccoon was identified in Hackensack earlier this year. Therefore the State Department of Health continues to recommend that cats, as well as dogs, receive vaccinations against rabies.
In accordance with this, the City of Hackensack’s Department of Health will offer a free rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats on the following date and time:

Date: Thursday, November 8, 2012
Time: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Place: Hackensack Public Works Garage
120 East Broadway

All dogs that are brought to the clinic must be leashed and cats must be brought in a cat carrier cage or box.
The clinic will be held at the Hackensack City Public Works Garage.

The clinic is free and open to all resident dog and cat owners.

Pet licenses are renewable annually in January. Any pet owner who does not yet have a current year license for his or her per is past due. Cat and dog licenses will be available for purchase at the clinic.
