4/1/2005 - Landscapers Must Renew License/New Snow Removal Permit Required

March 24, 2005

To All Licensed Landscapers:

Your current permit will expire on May 31, 2005.  Please be advised that you must renew your permit in person, before said date.  If you do not do so, you will be in violation of Hackensack City Ordinance 94-1, and may be issued a summons if found operating without a valid permit.

The Community Access Center is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

An application can be found here.
Please do not sign the application, it should be signed in the presence of the clerk processing the application.  You are reminded to bring your expiring permit ID, as it will no longer be valid  (It must be turned in at the time of renewal).  Please also have a valid NJ Drivers License with you as a second form of identification.  The fee remains the same; $100 + $5 for photo ID for one vehicle, and $25 for each additional vehicle.

I would also like to take the opportunity to adivse you that under the same City Ordinance (94-1), effective this year, if you plan on engaging in the process of snow plowing/removal, you must also apply for a snow removal permit from the City.  The application, fees and permit period is the same, however, a separate application must be filed.  For your convenience, I am enclosing a second copy should you wish to apply at this time.  Please keep in mind, although the snow removal season is probably behind us, come fall and winter, you MUST have a valid permit or be subject to a summons for a City Ordiance violation.

Please remember that if you wish to apply for both permits, you must fill out an application for each.  Also remember it is a separate fee for each permit.  If you should have any questions, please contact PO Mart Kobin at 201-646-7756.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation,
