2/25/2009 - Notice to Bidders: Demolition



     Sealed bids for the furnishing and delivery to the City of Hackensack, bids to contract for Demolition of 62 Linden Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey 07601 received at the City Clerk’s office at Hackensack City  Hall, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey , 07601, until 10:00 AM prevailing time on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 2009, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.


     The City of Hackensack WILL NOT mail specifications. All specifications shall be obtained in person.


     Proposals shall be in a sealed envelope and the envelope shall have written on it, plainly, Demolition of 62 Linden Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey 07601 Clerk, City of Hackensack.


     Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c 127.

Copy of Contractors registration Certificate or a copy of application for such Certificate must be presented with submitted bid, if not, bid will be rejected.  Bidder must have a BUSINESS REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE or bid will be rejected.


     Bidder must include in bid package:

        1) Certificate of Employee Information Report,
        2) Letter of Federal Approval, or 
        3) Complete Form AA 302.


     The City of Hackensack requires Public Works contractors and subcontractors to comply with recent legislation, PL 1999, C238 “The Public Works Contractor Registration Act”, by submitting their Certificate (or their application of said Certificate, if a Certificate has not yet been issued), the City of Hackensack requires a copy of the contractor’s application for certificate.


     The City of Hackensack reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the one that is in its judgment, will be in the best interest of th e City of Hackensack.
