HVAC REPLACEMENT HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that sealed bids will be received by the City of Hackensack for the furnishing of the hereinafter described labor, material and equipment for the City of Hackensack HVAC Replacement Health & Human Services Hackensack, New Jersey at 205 State Street , Hackensack, New Jersey and opened and reading public in the Office of the City Clerk, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey on June 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time.
Bidding Documents may be examined and procured at the office of the City Clerk on or after June 14, 2012, at 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey for the purpose of bidding. A non-refundable payment in cash or check to the order of The City of Hackensack in the sum of $125.00 is required.
A Pre-bid conference will be held at the site (205 State Street, Hackensack, New Jersey) on June 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L 1975, c. 127 (affirmative action).
In addition, all bidders shall provide a statement which shall set forth the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation or partnership who own 10% or greater interest therein. This information is required pursuant to Chapter 33, Public Law 1977, and cannot be waived or cured after the receipt of bids. Failure to comply will result in the REJECTION of the bid.
No bid will be accepted that does not conform to the specifications. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms provided with the documents and in the manner designated by the specifications; must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder, the contract being bid indicated on the outside thereof; and addressed and delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, City of Hackensack, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
The City of Hackensack reserves the right to waive technical deficiencies and to reject any and all bids if such rejection shall be found to be in the best interest of the City, and to waive non-material informalities in any bid in such a manner as shall be deemed, in the judgment of the City of Hackensack, to be in the best interest of the City, all in conformity with the law.
Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 4011-16, as applied to single overall building contracts.
A bid guaranty shall accompany the bid proposal and shall be given in the amount of 10% of the base bid, but not in excess of $20,000 unless otherwise required by law or regulation of the United States, and may be given at the option of the bidder by cash, certified check, cashier’s check or a bid bond from a reputable insurance company authorized to do business in New Jersey.
Bids may be held by the City of Hackensack for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the contract, unless said period is extended by mutual consent.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Kennedy Street Pump Station Discharge Pipe Replacement

Sealed bids for furnishing Kennedy Street Pump Station Discharge Pipe Replacement for the Department of Public Works, will be received at the City Clerk’s office at Hackensack City Hall, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey, 07601, until 2:00PM prevailing time on Thursday, June 28th, 2012, which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Specifications for the above may be obtained at the Office of the City Clerk, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey between the hours of 9:00AM and 4:00PM, daily, except Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. The City of Hackensack WILL NOT mail bid specifications. All specifications shall be obtained in person.
Proposals shall be in a sealed envelope and the envelope shall have written on it, plainly, the contract to which it refers. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of P.L. 1975, c 127. Copy of Contractors registration Certificate or a copy of application of such Certificate must be presented with submitted bid, if not, bid will be rejected.
Bidder must have a Business Registration Certificate or bid will be rejected.
Bidder must include in bid package: 1) Certificate of Employee Information Report, 2) Letter of Federal Approval, or 3) Complete Form AA 302.
The City of Hackensack requires Public Works contractors and subcontractors to comply with recent legislation, PL 1999, C238 “The Public Works Contactor Registration Act”, by submitting their Certificate (or their application f said Certificate, if a Certificate has not yet been issued), the City of Hackensack requires a copy of the contractor’s application for certificate.
The City of Hackensack reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the one that is in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the City of Hackensack.
Bidder shall submit with the bid proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check, or cashier’s check, or a bid bond, in the amount of not less than ten percent 10% of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000.00 made payable to the City of Hackensack. Such bid guarantee shall be refunded to all but bottom three apparent lowest responsible bidders and will be returned, unless otherwise requested by the bidder, within 10 days after the opening of the bids. Within 3 days after the awarding and signing of the contract and the approval of the contractor’s performance and payment bond, the bid security of the remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned.
